INACTIVATED FC3

Fowl Cholera Vaccine, Inactivated, Serovars 1, 3 & 4

For Chickens and Turkeys

Indications
This vaccine has been developed for use in chickens and turkeys. A dose of bacterin contains a large amount of inactivated Pasteurella multocida. Two inoculations, given in the late growing period, pro¬duce high levels of immunity to protect the flock through the critical early period of production when Fowl Cholera usually strikes.

Description
Is produced with three serotypes of Pasteurella multocida, Types 1, 3 & 4. These are the serotypes that most commonly infect chicken and turkey flocks. High concentrations of these strains are suspended in a stable oil emulsion. When injected, the oil emulsion controls the absorption of the antigen and greatly enhances the development of high levels of immunity. The product meets rigid 'Quality Control' standards of Purity, Safety and Potency as per individual monographs of bacterial vaccines of B.P. (Vet).

Composition
Each dose contains not less than a pre-inactivation titer of 2 x 108 CFU Pasteurella Multocida (serotype 1, 3 & 4).

Advantages
It is completely safe because it contains no living bacteria. It can safely be administered at any age. It can safely be used to check the spread of infection in flocks where fowl cholera has been diagnosed. It cannot spread from vaccinated to susceptible flocks. The immunity produced is of long duration.

Vaccination Recommendation
Breeder Hens & Commercial Layers:
Vaccinate between 12 and 16 weeks of age. Revaccinate 4 to 6 weeks later.

Warning: Do not vaccinate within 42 days before slaughter.

Caution
The capability of this vaccine to produce satisfactory results depends upon many factors, including - but not limited to - conditions of storage and handling by the user, administration of the vaccine, health and responsiveness of individual chickens, and degree of field exposure. Therefore, directions for use should be followed carefully.
