Live FP

Composition:

Each dose contains not less than 102 EID50 Fowl Pox virus.

Indication:

A vaccine indicated for the inoculation of chickens against Fowl Pox Disease for initial and booster vaccinations.

Vaccination Program:

  • The first dose of the vaccine should be administered at 6 weeks of age or older.
  • Once the chick is 6-8 weeks of age, a second dose should be administered.
  • Replacement pullets should also be vaccinated at least 4 weeks before the onset of egg production.
  • Vaccination Reaction: Mild tissue reactions may occur, 7 to 10 days after administration. These swellings serve as a good indicator of successful immunisation.

Administration:

This vaccine should be administered using the Wing Web Method, which entails penetrating the wing web completely, with the lancet containing the vaccine. Make sure not to puncture any large blood vessels. 

Pack Size and Storage:

The vaccine is freeze dried (lyophilised) and 10 vials are packed per box. It is available in 200, 500, 1000, and 2500 doses, with diluent and needle applicator (lancet). Protect the vaccine from light and store between 2°C and 8°C; do not freeze it.
